YORK, Nov. 26, 2007 (Thomson Financial delivered by Newstex) -- JPMorgan Chase (NYSE:JPM PRH) (NYSE:JPM PRX) (NYSE:JPM PRK) (NYSE:JPM PRJ) (NYSE:JPT) (NYSE:JPM) Monday named Barry Zubrow chief risk officer. Zubrow was also added to the company's operating committee.
Zubrow most recently served as president of private investment management firm ITB LLC. In addition, he has been an advisor to New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine on a range of issues. Zubrow worked at Goldman Sachs (NYSE:GS) in a number of positions for a period spanning from 1979 to 2004 with chief administrative officer being his most recent role at that firm prior to leaving.
Zubrow will oversee all risk management for JPMorgan and report to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jamie Dimon.
JPMorgan shares closed Friday at $41.95.

JPMorgan Chase (JPM) appointed Barry Zubrow as chief risk officer and member of the firm's operating committee.
The New York financial services firm said Zubrow, who will oversee all risk management for the company, previously worked as president of the private investment management firm ITB LLC and as senior adviser to New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine.
Barry L. Zubrow has served as a member of our Board of Directors since February 2004, as vice chairman of our Board of Directors since March 2005, and as lead independent director as of September 2005. From 1977 to November 2003, Mr. Zubrow held a variety of positions at The Goldman Sachs Group, including chief administrative officer and head of the operations and administration divisions. He received his J.D. and M.B.A. from the University of Chicago. Mr. Zubrow serves as a member of the board of directors of GSC Capital Corp. and serves as chairman of the board of the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation and Haverford College.
