Mobile home park is ground zero of Calif. wildfire (AP)

Fierce winds fanned a fast-moving wildfire that has burned about 10 homes and forced thousands of people and patients of a darkened hospital to evacuate.  The fire in the foothill community of Sylmar on the edge of the Angeles National Forest broke out late Friday and charred over two square miles in a few hours, prompting officials to order about 5,000 residents to leave their homes. Nebraska lawmakers may ask for more than age limit (AP)

Unicameral was called into special session to fix it's safe-haven law, originally intended to protect unwanted newborns from being abandoned. But because of the law's imprecise age definition, anyone can leave a child as old as 18 at a state-licensed hospital without fear of prosecution for abandonment.
